Inspiration For The Piece: The artist was just playing around with block out on an empty screen and it turned into a woman in anguish. A friend told her the story of Jocasta in ancient mythology and how she killed her children and lived a life of anguish. The artist gave the new title to her untitled serigraph

Inspiration For The Piece: The artist was having a hair cut and noticed all the women sitting under the hairdryers. This super imposition of craggy faces seemed to fade into one another.

Mrs. Thomas died at home on Friday September 7, 2001. Memorials may be made to the Martha B.Thomas Endowed Scholarship at Coastal Carolina University.
