Inspiration For The Piece:..." I taught watercolor class at Bob Jones University and we often visited interesting sites in the area, often painting with the students."

How Piece Was Acquired: Purchased in 1971: Funds from James H. Burroughs Memorial Purchase Award, donated by Jerry Cox Company.


House At Sunset: Polymer. Size: 13" x 15 "

Inspiration For The Piece::.." I have always enjoyed painting sunsets, in fact, I'm doing more of them now."

How Piece Was Acquired: Purchased in 1972: Funds from Belk(Conway) and Peoples Savings and Loan.


South Georgia Spring Days: Watercolor. Size: 17 1/2" x 22 1/2"

Inspiration For The Piece:..."I do a lot of traveling and look for idea's for paintings. This is one of many I have seen in these excursions. I should mention that I grew up on a farm in Southern Michigan and naturally have an interest in this kind of subject. I believe an artist needs to paint subjects he is familiar with."

Inspiration For The Piece: " A winter scene is one of my favorite subjects. This scene was interesting with three bright red barns."
