Tenth Annual Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild Juried Exhibition

April 26 – May 23, 2007

Opening reception: Thursday, April 26, 5:30-7:30pm. Juror Stephen Nevitt's presentation at 6pm.Rt 104 Ontario, Beyond

Always popular with area residents and visitors, the WACG Juried Exhibition combines the work of professional and amateur artists. A diverse display of oils, watercolors, mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, etc., this springtime favorite appeals to all ages. Primarily local and regional talents are featured. The show is juried and judged by professional artists, with cash awards given and art offered for sale. Over $2,500 in prize monies are awarded and a people’s choice award is a highlight of this exhibition by artists from across the region.

 

Eighth Annual Horry/Georgetown High Schools Juried Exhibition
April 1 – April 27, 2007
Opening reception: Sunday, April 1, 2007 from 1pm until 3pm, Awards Ceremony at 2pm

This is an opportunity for students to submit their works to professional judges for possible selection into an art museum exhibition. It fosters a number of admirable goals: promoting high school student art locally; promoting self-esteem among art students; demonstrating to students one way artists earn money through their art; promoting professionalism in student artists; and promoting art in the schools and community. Works will be juried into the exhibition, with cash awards given and art offered for sale.
