The Collectors' Event

This first-time event will provide seasoned art collectors and newcomers alike with a great opportunity to acquire works of art while supporting the Art Museum and our community of artists. A silent auction for 100 pieces of artwork from local, regional and internationally-known artists held as a fundraiser for the Art Museum’s 15th Anniversary. With $100 ticket admission, each ticket-holder will go home with an original work of art valued at $100 and upwards!

Children’s Art will be on display ion the Art Museum’s second floor galleries. The Art Museum looks forward to partnering with McLeod Children’s Hospital, Myrtle Beach Elementary School and Carolina Forest Middle School and presenting approximately 80 joyful and colorful works created by our area’s talented and imaginative children.

The Art of Recycling
April 20 and 21, 2012
The Art Museum’s first Art of Recycling contest is [presented in conjunction with our 15th Anniversary Year of Art. Middle School children from both Horry and Georgetown Counties will be asked to create an original work of art made of 100% recycled material. Awards will be given.

Middle schoolers and teems will join Chef Tom Mullally at the Horry-Georgetown Technical College Culinary Arts program kitchen for a hands-on Japanese cooking class to include stir fries, noodles and sushi.
